BASIC BAG FOR KNITTING FRAMES
Bag finishes to about 8" square. It can be knitted on the long yellow knifty knitter or similar two-sided frame. It can ALSO be knitted on a round frame with 36-38 pegs. 1 skein of Lion Brand Thick and Quick (or similar weight) yarn plus a small amount of yarn in a contrasting color will knit the bag. While knitting this bag, you'll learn to knit a ribbed edge, to move from flat knitting (the flap) to circular knitting (the pouch of the bag) and to knit basic fairisle. Instructions are in plain English with lots of illustrations. Beginners will be able to knit the bag. Purses make great gifts because everybody needs one and it is not a fit-specific item. TIP FOR SLIPPERY TIPS:
The smooth tips on this loom were driving me crazy by dropping stitches like mad. I bought a package of pencil grips at Target and cut each grip into several pieces. Each is held to the top of a peg by a single dot of glue. They should be removable later if I want to restore the smooth tips.
